section.duplicate

A merge took both sides of a design, or a section was copied while a second was being written for work that turned out to deserve its own line.

Two headings claim one line’s address and nothing derives a free one here: either the later design belongs to a line of its own, or it is a copy.

Two or more doors are open and which one is right is a judgement about the work.

It is not the same finding on every project: ref_scheme

  • roadkeep renumber … --to … — the line, its heading, its subtree and every dep move together, which is what re-addressing an id-addressed design means
  • roadkeep section drop … — or take the copy out — refused while a line still points at it, so the pointer is repointed or that line ships first
